If you are thinking about counselling for the first time, you probably have lots of questions.

Through my work, clients invariably report the significant benefits of "being heard" by someone else, and often, the benefits of simply "hearing themselves", in order to work through life challenges.

A place to talk…

Sometimes it’s good to “just talk to someone” … outside of your circle of friends and family. If you've got them, friends and family can be wonderful, but if suddenly their phone rings, or they've got to go, or if they have a hidden agenda, they might not be the best person to listen to you.

One thing I provide as a counsellor/psychotherapist, is a place to talk without interruption, as sometimes it can really help to just give time over to speaking your thoughts out loud to an experienced practitioner.

Ian Laurence Kerr–Counsellor & Psychotherapist

I work with individuals, couples and families who are looking for the opportunity to talk things through on a variety of possible topics.  My experience and training involve issues such as relationship concerns, couple counselling, grief and loss, domestic violence and abuse, depression, anxiety, anger, loneliness, past trauma, fears, phobias, teenager issues, career issues and addictions.

It is also common however, for a client to not fit neatly into a category.  EVERYONE is different, & you may just have something that’s been on your mind lately and you want to talk it through?

Choosing a Practitioner

I believe the most important thing is “the chemistry” between you and a practitioner experienced in counselling/psychotherapy. With this in mind, please feel free to call me obligation free on 0407 431 831
